Lets discuss a very interesting topic today - Strength training

The methods of attaining maximal muscular tension can be classified as -

1. Maximal effort method -

lifting a maximum load ( exercising against maximal resistance ) .

2. Repeated effort method -

lifting a nonmaximal load to failure ; during the final repetitions the muscles develop the maximum force possible on fatigued state .

3. Dynamic effort method-

lifting a non maximal load with the highest attainable speed.

4. Sub maximal effort method -

lifting non maximal load for an intermediate number of times ( not to failure ) is used as a supplementary training method.
Each one of these have there pros and cons which l shall discuss in subsequent write up .
